The story is narrated by the protagonist Nick Carraway. His story mainly concerns the mysterious millionaire Jay Gatsby, the man in love with the girl Daisy. The Great Gatsby addresses the issues of decadence, social turmoil, and whatever else concerns the Roaring Twenties in the United States.
