Pygmalion is a play written by the American writer Bernard Shaw and published in 1913. Pressing social issues of that time are raised in it. A professor of phonetics needs to teach a street flower girl the pronunciation different from the popular cockney speech, with an intention to introduce her to the high society. It looks like a mission impossible but the principle character must win a bet.
